Founder of Project Charleston

I’m Avery and I started Project Charleston in 2022 when I was a freshman at Wando High School. I’ve been involved in community outreach for as long as I can remember — volunteering with my parents taught me early on how powerful small acts of kindness can be. I created Project Charleston to support local nonprofits and bring people together through fundraisers, donation drives, and auctions — all with the goal of making a positive difference right here in our community.

What drives me most is the belief that anyone, no matter their age, can make an impact. I hope Project Charleston inspires more teens to get involved and see that change doesn’t have to start big — it just has to start with heart.
